A Natural Fit: Reflections on Precision Telecom Technologies

In 2001, I founded Precision Telecom Technologies with a vision of providing telecommunications companies with the best billing and back-office support systems. For over two decades, our team has proudly executed this vision. In addition to providing outstanding client support, we continuously modernized our system as telecom evolved from LD and POTS lines to today’s complex blend of cloud-based solutions. Ultimately, we are proud of how far we have taken the business in the past 20 years.

As we look to the future, our goal remains the same. To keep pace in the highly competitive telecom space, I continue to invest heavily in Precision’s organic growth while also considering other ideas to scale up Precision in better support of our clients. 

Late last year, Brent Maropis, CEO of Rev.io, engaged me with the idea to merge our companies.  As Precision and Rev.io have been “friendly” competitors for several years, I decided to take a deep look into their organization. 

While meeting with Brent and learning more about the Rev.io team, the similarities in company culture immediately stood out. Beyond our clear alignment in values, I was impressed by Rev.io’s understanding of communications providers’ core rating and billing needs. Additionally, the business’s long-term technology investments, platform scalability, and genuine passion for service were undeniable. 

After a lengthy evaluation process, these platform strengths and culture fit led our team to agree to an acquisition of the legacy Precision business by Rev.io. All current employees have transitioned to roles on Rev.io’s team, and we are excited to be a part of Rev.io’s transparent ACT TOP culture. In my new role as SVP of Technology at Rev.io, I will continue focusing on my vision of developing great technology and high-performing systems for our clients. 

With the unique strengths of Rev.io and Precision together under one roof, I believe we can deliver difference-making solutions for our telecom clients and their end-users.
